John Tobin to leave Boston City Council

Boston — After nearly nine years on the Boston City Council, John Tobin is stepping down.

Tobin, who has served West Roxbury, Jamaica Plain and parts of Roslindale and Mission Hill, will head to Northeastern University in August to serve as its new vice president of City and Community Affairs.
